11/25/02 - Professors Wayne Eastman and Michael Santoro have had their paper, "Voting for Your Boss: An Economic Argument for Workplace Democracy," accepted for publication in the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Law and Social Change. The paper argues that, contrary to conventional theories of corporate governance that rely on exclusive control by shareholders, giving workers a voice in selecting corporate officers can sometimes enhance the economic efficiency of a corporation. The paper will be published in the upcoming issue of the journal.
