A Message from the Founding Director

In an era of globalization and technological revolution, it is important for organizations to maintain their values and operate effectively in a turbulent environment, where human rights violations, managerial self-dealing, and other moral problems provide daily challenges. Recent scandals have raised questions about whether today’s business school graduates are well equipped to deal with the challenges. Many current and former students consider ethics a losing strategy; that is a problem that Rutgers and other business schools need to address. Our Center supports conferences, lectures, courses, and research at the Rutgers Business School to provide a practical and intellectually sound grounding in ethics for our students and the business community.

Edwin M. Hartman, Founding Director
